Our mission is to empower young girls and women to reduce judgment in themselves and other women, to recognize true beauty and to activate their potential to inspire change in the world.

A look back through the history of the evolution of women in the western world reveals a snapshot of struggles and triumphs in a quest for liberation. Women are making great advances in the battle to have a voice in the world; from equal opportunities and pay in the workforce, to the unprecedented power of the golden consumer whose choice in the marketplace seems endless.

What is the movement of today? It feels, in part, like the pendulum is swinging away from the intensity and volume of the feminist struggle - to be heard, to be free, and to be comparable to men - that was so essential at the time. As an extreme reaction, women went from bra burning to push-up bras to compensate for a perceived loss of femininity, purchasing "things" that defined sex appeal and physical attractiveness, alone. Today, women are at a point where they are readjusting their focus to maintain and build on their liberation, and at the same time, to reclaim the inherent qualities that give them substance and meaning - and that encompass the multitude of attributes that truly define the beauty of womanhood.

Women now stand on the threshold of one of the greatest moments in history as they are among the world's leaders calling attention to the global issues that society must collectively work to mend. The world is in many ways deferring to a gentle, feminine approach for solving problems.

The women's revolution of today is about returning to our core, quietly without noise. It is about finding balance with nature and consciousness, feeling good in our skin, and accepting others and ourselves for who we are. It is about rediscovering the essence of our inner beauty and honoring it in ourselves and in the delicate connectedness of women all over. It is about choosing to unite through our commonalities; to lift each other up; to shine in all our being - free of judgment.

As its foundation, Be...a Woman is a book that expresses this important message with great consideration for the attributes every woman possesses. Be...a Woman uses as its medium, original lush sepia-tone photographs of regular women ages 19 to 89 living modest yet extraordinary lives, complimented by uplifting meditations and true stories. This collection is a celebration of women that are real and identifiable, yet completely beautiful...simply being themselves.

Be...a Woman is an ideal remedy for anyone in search of a deeper reality of woman's beauty as represented through attitude, spirit, happiness, strength, resilience and other attributes that go beyond just physical measures.

The time is right for a stunning, approachable, optimistic look at what it truly means to be a woman. Be...a Woman fills that need in an irresistibly beautiful and inspiring package.
