This is the launch of the first  that celebrates the modest, humble women who quietly and subtly influence our lives and make us believe we can be anything. The woman you nominate may be your mother, your grandmother, your sister, aunt, teacher, friend or co-worker. This is your way of saying thank you simply for being you.
The brings into view the grace and beauty of the unsung heroes that mold us, share with us, believe in us, lift us up and inspire us to make the world a better place. These are extraordinary, ordinary women who are living the Be…a Woman philosophy. Your stories should reveal how the woman you are nominating is living one or many attributes, like the ones celebrated in the book, Be…a Woman: expressions of life.

Our winner will take home amazing prizes, including a weekend for 2 at the Hillcrest Valenova Inn & Spa, article in a national magazine and a photo shoot with international renowned photographer Arline Malakian, with the photo appearing on our website.
In Memory of an Amazing Woman
Our winner will take home an amazing inspirational tribute video of the life of the nominee and a story featured in a national magazine.
Dates and Deadlines to Nominate someone
Nominations will be accepted from May 1– August 15, 1008
Voting Starts September 1, 2008
Once our panel of judges narrows down the top three finalists per category, we will ask those finalists to submit a short video. Following the videos a phone interview will be scheduled with Arline and Kim. Selections of one person per category will be made by September 27, 2008, followed by an awards ceremony held in Toronto in October 2008.What you need to do
- Submit a 500 word story in the category of your choice below
- Three finalists will be asked to submit a short video
- Arline and Kim will interview the three finalists by phone
